When I started the position in 2020 amidst the pandemic, the team was looking for a complete culture change from the previous coaching staffs. While implementing these changes, we recorded a 0-10-2 record during the shortened season. In the following year (2021), the players took ahold of the culture change and we moved to 6-9-2 and were competitive in all our competitions. Last year (2022) the changes implemented by the coaching staff and, more importantly, the players, showed on the field as we accrued an 11-5-1 record and broke multiple school records along the way. Responsibilities of the role include:Create and implement practice plans and work with athletes to develop their skills both on and off the field.Responsible for selecting and developing team members, strategizing for games, and ensuring that all equipment and facilities are in proper working order. Work closely with school administrators, parents, and other coaches to ensure a successful soccer program that aligns with school values and goals. Possess full knowledge about the rules and regulations of soccer and able to effectively teach and motivate players of varying skill levels.
