My experience in event support, community-focused work, and service-based roles has helped me build a strong foundation in communications. As a wellness peer educator, I plan events throughout the semester and use national college data to develop programming that addresses student needs. I have additional experience assisting with event coordination and setup, supporting behind-the-scenes tasks, and contributing to smooth execution. My professional work at West Penn Hospital as a patient food service associate requires staying organized, following schedules, and working closely with others to meet daily operational needs. Shadowing the manager of volunteer services at West Penn Hospital provides me with exposure to efforts in outreach, volunteer coordination, and community engagement initiatives. This background reflects my deadline-driven, collaborative, and service-minded approach. Experience with research-based event planning and outreach has strengthened interest in communications and community relations. My career goals focus on continuing to grow within event planning and related fields.
