Generate datasets describing the health and well-being of Detroiters, maintaining their availability for presentation to decision-makers at the City’s various departments. • Manage the creation and operation of a multi-partner, multi-sector Opioid Fatality Review at the department that strategizes interventions on opioid overdoses in Detroit.• Analyze naloxone administration data from Detroit emergency services and provide recommendations to the department’s opioid overdose interventions.• Manage multimillion-dollar, multi-partner project examining air quality and health impacts on Detroiters living around the Gordie Howe International Bridge construction site.• Analyze blood lead level screening data from Detroit clinicians and provide recommendations to city-wide lead task force spanning health, housing, water, and building safety departments.• Collaborate with Communicable Disease division in response to infectious disease outbreaks throughout the city using standard operating procedures and the Incident Command System.• Consult with health department managers on various programmatic concerns such as data requests, instrument design, surveillance system design, and annual reports. • Coordinate biweekly conventions of three divisions supervised by the Chief Epidemiologist, in which teams discuss emergent and ongoing communicable disease threats across the city, general department updates, and the highlights of team members’ individual work.• Oversee epidemiology projects for division interns ranging from ten weeks to six months.• Maintain standard operating protocols for various health surveillance programs in the division.
