ABOUT KAITLYN WILLOUGHBY
Kaitlyn Willoughby is currently a J.D. candidate at Georgetown Law where she hopes to focus her studies on women\'s rights and constitutional law. Prior to this, Kaitlyn was an undergraduate student at the University of California, San Diego studying for her Bachelor of Science in Political Science: Data Analytics and with a minor in Law and Society. Kaitlyn was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and has been born and raised there ever since. She studied at Desert Oasis High School while simultaneously working in the community and volunteering. It was in high school when Kaitlyn discovered her passion for politics and her community by going to programs such as Nevada Girls State and Girls Nation and volunteering with different campaigns and community organizations. Speech and Debate has also helped shape her passion by getting her involved and interested in real-world issues. Through this activity, she has won various National and local awards and is also an NSDA All American. She is now continuing her speech and debate career in college. In her time organizing, Kaitlyn has helped organize key events especially around the topics of gun violence prevention and climate change. Kaitlyn has played a key role as a student organizer with the following key organizations in 2018: March For Our Lives Las Vegas, March For Our Lives San Diego, The #NationalSchoolWalkOut, Everytown For Gun Safety, This is Zero Hour, and Defend Our Futures. Kaitlyn has also been a vocal advocate and fighter for a variety of social issues that face diverse communities across our country.
