About Kaitlyn Hennings

I am currently a senior at Fordham University’s Lincoln Center campus, where I’m pursuing a double major in Dance through the Ailey/Fordham BFA program and Humanitarian Studies, along with a minor in Marketing. I am passionate about blending artistry, advocacy, and organization in ways that create lasting impact, and I aim to foster connection and purpose in every role I take on.Currently, I am the Programs Intern for JUNTOS Collective, a 501(c)3 non-profit that cultivates international community through shared dance experiences. In this role, I help facilitate programming that provides participants with the tools to explore their creative expression in safe spaces that foster individuality and unity. I am proud to support a mission that uses the art of movement to inspire confidence and collaboration. In addition to my administrative work, I am deepening my professional performance experience as an Apprentice with Alison Cook Beatty Dance and a Trainee with Jon Lehrer Dance Company.Outside of my studies and rehearsals, I teach young children at Tutu School Boerum Hill and work in retail and operations at The Bar Method Noho. Community engagement remains a core value of mine; I continue to volunteer weekly with the Hell’s Kitchen Community Cupboard to stay connected to my local neighborhood.I am eager to continue exploring how the discipline of dance and the heart of humanitarian work can intersect to serve and uplift others.
