About Kaitlin Mallouk
My passion is teaching engineering, particularly in the first and second years. I am committed to educating engineering students so that they can be valuable and successful members of industry and society. To this end, I continually innovate my curriculum and teaching practices and conduct grant-funded research in the areas of pedagogical innovation adoption and broadening participation in STEM. My engineering research background is in air quality engineering, with a specific focus on adsorption process development. I also have experience in bioprocess development, tissue engineering, and chemical engineering process development.

I was nominated by senior leadership at Rowan University to engage in this work. The ELATES Class of 20••••26 is comprised of 41 faculty leaders from institutions across the US and Canada, committed to this intensive, year-long program.The Executive Leadership in Academic Technology, Engineering and Science (ELATES) program is designed to train and prepare emerging faculty leaders in engineering, computer science, and other STEM fields for institutional leadership roles within their schools and universities.
