Support the North American transformer factories including five in the United States, two in Canada, one in Mexico, and various service centers by performing strategic sourcing for capital expenditure projects.• Perform total cost of ownership sourcing activities and run risk mitigation actions, develop business relationship with key suppliers, assess, develop, and lead cross functional and cross site teams to achieve results.• Support factory implementation of the strategy in a timely manner. Drive selected regional or factory level SCM projects, conduct make/buy analysis and make recommendations for strategy.• Regularly communicate strategy including monthly reviews and negotiations results to factories in the region, collect and rationalize inputs from factories to feed into sourcing strategy.• Lead supplier qualification and supplier performance evaluation for in-scope regional suppliers, ensure sourcing from qualified suppliers, monitor potential deviations, and agree on corrections with the factories, manage and resolve critical supplier shortcomings.
