Kai Stabell Senior Project Manager | Conversationalist | Conflict Whisperer | Founder, C4CCR I’ve mediated everything from post-conflict transitions to workplace culture shifts—and the tools, it turns out, aren’t so different. A well-placed question can disarm more than force. A structured conversation can rebuild more than policy. Currently, I serve as a Senior Project Manager at Michigan Medicine, where I bring order to complexity—building scalable systems, stewarding conflict into clarity, and helping institutions remember what they\'re really here for. Before that, I worked across UN missions, from mine action to DDR, learning that silence often speaks loudest and that power flows differently when you’re really listening. I\'m also the founder of the Center for Conversational Conflict Resolution (C4CCR)—a platform for teaching what I call conversationalism: the subtle art of shifting conflict not with dominance, but with dialogue. I live by the Nordic idea that “there’s no such thing as bad weather—only poor clothing.” Systems, too, fail when they\'re dressed wrong for the climate. Some days, I whisper to systems. Other days, I speak plainly to power. And always, I try to practice what Nordahl Grieg once wrote:\"Defeat is only a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.\"
