Responsibilities also include monitoring regulatory compliance of FFRDC contractor operations in accordance with Federal Regulations 48 CFR 35.017. Serves as the JPL Center Operations NASA Official liaising with NASA HQ on matters related to Facilities, Real Estate, Construction, Logistics, and Environmental Management. Serves as the Chair providing leadership to the Interim Response Team (IRT) for JPL missions in the event of a mishap. Responsible for performing critical inherently government functions related to mishap response and investigation process during the Lifecycle of a Spaceflight project.
