About Kairong Qian

I started my career more than 15 years ago as a software engineer writing code to help integrated circuit designers simulate and verify their logic designs. Over the years I developed strong technical interests in using computer software as a tool to solve real world problems. I have broad technical background ranging from designing EDA algorithms to using deep learning models to solve difficult imaging and computer vision problems. With more than 15 years of hands-on experience developing C++ software, I have been able to deliver the software products in commercial settings. I am a curious technologist and always fascinated by emerging technologies and self-taught many new technologies including cloud computing and artificial intelligence.I am an efficient communicator and have many years of team building experiences. I have built teams in startups where I am a hands-on engineer as well as a manager. Equipped with excellent communication and presentation skills, I can clearly articulate the project goals to both upper management and cross-functional teams.When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my family and friends. One of my hobby is to train and run marathons and ultra-marathons. When I am off computer screens, you will see me running in mountain trails or road marathon races. I also volunteer in my children’s schools as well as local church events.
