Currently I’m working as a Broadcast Engineer for Global, working as part of the Broadcast Engineering Shift team of 6 in London, a shift team who provide 24/7/365 support to the business with all broadcast engineering needs. We also work closely with our colleagues in the wider team of regional engineering & broadcast systems. We support with Radio Studios, Video Systems, Outside Broadcasts, and Transmission of all of our radio stations within the building as well as via Web, AM, FM and DAB. One of the recent projects I’ve been working on internally is upgrading and smoothing out our equipment booking and check out process for broadcast engineering and the helpdesk teams.While in this role as a team we’ve launch an unprecedented 12 new radio stations, all on the same day! Moved the UKs biggest 3 commercial radio networks to Zetta, achieved our highest ever listening figures of 29.2 million people per week, and most amount of money donated to Global’s Make Some Noise ever, at over 3.8 million in 1 day!
