ABOUT KAI PETER RATH
Kai is a partner at FGS Global in Düsseldorf, where he leads the Düsseldorf office and is a member of the European crisis leadership team and the strategy practice.He studied business, economics, and psychology (with a focus on behavioral economics) at the University of Cologne, graduating in 1992. He later completed his journalism training at the Henri Nannen School of Journalism in Hamburg. During his studies, Kai gained hands-on experience as a reporter across newspapers, magazines, radio, and television.Kai began his career as a radio presenter for the public broadcaster WDR, then worked as an editor at the business magazine Capital, and as a financial and business correspondent for the news weekly Focus in Frankfurt. In he joined the business weekly WirtschaftsWoche, where he served as deputy department head, department head, and ultimately as deputy editor-in-chief for five years.In early 2008, Kai became Director of Communications at McKinsey & Company, initially overseeing communications for Germany, then Western Europe, and ultimately Europe. In this role, he was responsible for internal and external communications across 25 countries and advised clients on strategic communications.Kai joined FGS Global’s legacy firm Hering Schuppener as a partner in November 2020.
