ABOUT KAI HARTWIG

Once upon a time a network executive (planning to leave his mark on a company he was dearly departing) gave Kai the green light to produce his own show on The Movie Network\'s Mpix channel. The \"show\" was technically an interstitial but it was a great success, won Galaxi and Pro Max Awards for Best New Show, and Best Host, and had a lengthy run of five years introducing hundreds of Hollywood classics to new audiences. After Moviehead was attacked by The Blob and died (the show finally got cancelled), Kai was invited to bring his special brand of humour to W Network\'s hit series,\"Take This House and Sell It.\" 75 episodes later, Kai learned that all shows eventually get cancelled. Moreover, Kai knew he wanted to continue working in Reality TV. Thus began an incredible journey story producing and story editing any reality TV show that would hire him. Kai worked with Python Hunters, Ice Road Truckers, Top Chefs and Chopped cooks, Big Brothers, Bachelors and Bachelorettes. In between there were outdoor adventurers, animal exterminators, car collectors and mechanics, foul-mouthed fishermen, and most recently, a slew of fire pit masters, chocolatiers, and epic cake makers. After 26 years working in Canadian television, Kai has become one of Toronto\'s most versatile story talents working in studio, the field, and in post. His most recent work story editing and story producing Reality Competition Shows currently airs on Food Network Canada and The CW.
