Provides guidance on system posture to implement/validate IA compliance.• Provides guidance to client development teams on correction of information assurance vulnerabilities.• Conducted System Test and Evaluations (ST & E) using the DoD IA C&A Process (DIACAP) • Generates assessments and develops actionable recommendations based on system findings and analysis.• Used assessment tools such as DISA Gold Disk, Eye Retina and Nessus, DISA STIGs and SRRs in performing IA Vulnerability Assessments• Assess, develop, and/or update existing packages for Assessment & Authorization (A&A)(formerly Certification & Accreditation (C&A), in accordance with Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for three (3) services; Air Force, Army and Navy.• Accreditation packages include: System Security Plan (SSP), Configuration Management Plan (CMP), Information Security Contingency Plan (ISCP), Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Incident Response Plan (IRP) verification and validation to ensure alignment of actual processes with documentation.• Conduct security reviews in accordance with DIACAP, NIST, FISMA, OMB and VA guidance for a variety of systems and applications within VA to include other applicable Federal regulations and guidelines.• Review all existing documentation to develop an initial gap analysis determining the level of effort necessary to deliver all up-to-date, comprehensive documentation. All draft documents prepared are peer reviewed internally prior to initial review by the facility, and receive a final QA review prior to delivery as completed deliverables.• Conduct weekly team and client meetings and prepare meeting minutes for weekly calls.• Prepare and conduct kickoff meetings with new sites when assigned.
