ABOUT KAHLIL ALLEN

Mr. Allen has over 23 years of executive management and technical experience in Safety Management Systems (SMS), System Security, and Fire Protection across the transportation, defense, aerospace, and aviation industries. Mr. Allen has managed numerous safety programs in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Allen was co-founder, President and CEO of ADS System Safety Consulting, LLC (ADS). Under Mr. Allen’s leadership ADS grew into the largest safety and security consulting firm serving the US Public Transportation industry. ADS also supports the implementation of risk-based SMS programs in the aerospace and autonomous vehicle industries. Mr. Allen served as Chief Safety and Security Officer for the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation, responsible for all aspects of system safety, security, environmental, health, and safety programs. Mr. Allen’s areas of technical expertise include SMS, risk management, occupational safety and health, system safety engineering, system security, and emergency preparedness planning. Mr. Allen has led the implementation and deployment of SMS programs for many of the nation’s largest transit agencies. Mr. Allen now serves as President of ADS, a wholly owned subsidiary of dss+, and dss+ Global Director for the Transportation Industry. Mr. Allen has also authored and co-authored system safety, security, and emergency preparedness plans for an array of complex systems including bus and rail transit systems, space and ground satellite systems, and telecommunications systems.
