About Kaelyn Deacon

I am an incoming senior at Kelley School of Business and the Hutton Honors College at Indiana University, studying Marketing and Professional Sales with a minor in Spanish. I am from Barrington, Illinois, a Northwest suburb of Chicago. I am a valuable team player, a passionate leader, and a service-oriented individual. I first found my passion in the INCubator entrepreneurship course I took in high school, where I co-founded a platform that rates fashion brands based on the sustainability and ethicality of their practices. This experience enhanced my knowledge of the inner workings of business and sustainability through hands on experience. In high school I was also on the varsity cheerleading team for four years and named All-Conference Athlete and Most Valuable Player. At Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, I continue to learn, grow, and positively impact those around me. Firstly, I have been elected into the position of Vice President of Community of my business fraternity, Phi Gamma Nu. This experience has allowed me to lead and organize over 10 successful philanthropy events per semester and raise over towards domestic abuse awareness. I have also become a part of the Corporate Relations team for IU Dance Marathon, raising money for the children at Riley Children\'s hospital. Finally, I have become 1 of 5 members of Alpha Delta Pi\'s bike team, demonstrating strong commitment and strength ready to tackle IU\'s biggest tradition: the Little 500 Bike Race. In my future career, I hope to have a job where I work collaboratively with a team while making a positive impact on the world around me!
