   Teach primary middle school math principles such as expressions/equations, ratio/proportions, and fraction division. Responsible for modifying lesson plans, analyzing student work and performance, creating “re-teach” lessons in response to perceived gaps, and engage in weekly syncs with Principal to thoroughly review data and develop action plans for teachers. Employed a variety of teaching methods to better help students adjust to the new virtual learning landscape during the height of the school lockdown period (March 2020-June 2021) including, but not limited to: contouring the math curriculum to the new virtual learning environment by utilizing effective presentations that weaves in social justice topics, TikTok and various Netflix show themes to make material more engaging and palatable. Coached eight aspiring teachers over the course of 12 weeks in which 83% pursued full time teaching careers. Conducted weekly observations. Co-taught with them and modeled lessons, reviewed upcoming lessons, practiced key parts of upcominglessons. Provided constructive evaluations for each teacher upon the fellowship’s conclusion.
