ABOUT KADHIR ALI
As I grew up, I have always been a problem solver. I would take apart anything so I could see how any machine worked and put it back together. With this curious mindset, I did my Undergrad in Mechanical Engineering to live my dreams and fell in love with designing mechanical systems. It gives me great pleasure and satisfaction when theoretical design takes form in 3D modeling. With such passion for what I did, I joined Hi-Precision tools and Dies as a Design Intern. During my tenure, I learned a lot about designing using proper standards. I was the part of designing powertrain systems and custom parts. As a design Engineer, I used Solidworks for 3D part modeling, converted the design into 2D drawings, prepared drawing for the shop floor implementing GD & T-ASME Y14.5 standards. It was also amazing to gain knowledge about materials while doing my material research for the products. It was also very challenging to design products that are feasible for manufacturing and assembly. Also, every product must undergo DFMEA and design validation plan for continuous improvement of design. Every product, system much be robust and failure resistant and is the most important part of my role. Every part that is designed and is to be manufactured must undergo Static Structural Analysis using FEA software such as ANSYS workbench. With a limited-minimum factor of safety under boundary conditions, a design will be feasible to manufacture. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, listen to music, and wander around. I have been fortunate enough to have explored many places in South Asia and more fortunate to have been in North America. I am crazy about cricket and BAJA endurances.
