About Kade McKenna
I’m a cinematographer exploring the space where analog texture meets digital light. My work blends the tactile beauty of 16mm film with the evolving language of virtual production to create images that feel alive, imperfect, and deeply cinematic.My films Los Angles and Outer West have both received awards for their visual storytelling and tone. Whether I’m shooting through a vintage lens or building worlds inside an LED volume, I’m drawn to stories that blur the line between the real and the surreal.After graduating from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, I trained in virtual production at Orbital Studios and interned with the American Society of Cinematographers. These experiences shaped my approach to both craft and collaboration. For me, cinematography is emotional architecture, a way to build worlds that stay with you long after the cut.
