About Kate Adamson
As a highly qualified licensed Master of Social Work, I am very passionate and committed to making an impact in the lives of those experiencing challenges, and/or disabilities. In 1995, I suffered a catastrophic brain stem stroke with one-in-a-million odds against survival. Since recovering, I still deal with the challenges of my disability, so I have an intimate knowledge of what it is like to overcome those unique challenges. Now, with my additional educational skills and credits, I am able to be even more effective as a professional medical social worker. Additionally, I serve as an expert witness and consultant regarding issues of pain and suffering in comatose patients. I have worked extensively for patients with serious injuries and illnesses, and the caregivers for over twenty-five years. I am a skilled advocate, fundraiser, and professional speaker. It has been a privilege to speak before the United States Congress, State Legislatures, numerous Government agencies, and Fortune 500 corporations.
