About Kacy Patterson
Currently taking a pause from working to focus on raising tiny humans. While I may be taking a break from working full-time, I\'m always available to brainstorm, mentor and even freelance/contract on projects. Before taking a pause from working full-time, I was a Communications Lead at Pinterest that was passionate about supporting the company with internal and executive communications. In a nutshell that included anything from driving & writing internal messaging and communications to leading internal programs and supporting executives at all hands across most organizations of the company. That may feel like a broad description but that\'s because when you\'ve been around since the early days of the company, you have the opportunity to touch everything. When I wasn\'t doing that, I was focused on my work as Program Manager focused on Employee Inspiration. At Pinterest that meant taking a look at the employee experience and how it manifests itself through both internal communications and events. Having been at Pinterest since 2014 and holding various positions across the company from Executive Assistant to Communications Lead to Events Lead, supporting various teams, it provided me with a unique perspective on how much these experiences can make an employee felt included and thought about. As an early employee at Pinterest, I was always passionate about the experience employees had, because after all - you spend a good portion of your waking hours at work so shouldn’t it spark joy in your life and not just be a portion of your day? Prior to joining Pinterest I worked for The Pramana Collective, CBS Films, CBS TV and OnLive.
