About Kacper Sawicki
Kacper Sawicki is and always has been obsessed with filmmaking and creativity. Having graduated from Łódź Film School in Poland, early production experience at Viacom, Thompson Reuters, and BBC saw Kacper live in both London and New York, rising up through the ranks before setting up Papaya Films in 2006. Starting in Warsaw as the company’s Executive Producer, he quickly established Papaya Films as one of the most innovative production companies in Europe, creating campaigns for Nike, IKEA, Samsung, and Vodafone. Refusing to stick with just commercial work, he created Papaya Originals, a feature and documentary arm that has seen projects for Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, and Netflix, notably the mini-series Wolf, the multi-award-winning sci-fi features EMBERS and a forthcoming documentary about Polish football legend, Robert Lewandowski. Besides overseeing the day-to-day running of Papaya Films, Kacper is a regular jury member at leading industry festivals and events such as Cannes Lions and loves nothing more than finding and supporting young talent in the film industry. Aided by co-created initiatives like the Papaya New Directors which is now entering its 10th year, he continually pushes the industry forward by championing the next generation of creators.
