After three semesters of career coaching within the OPCD, I was asked to teach two professional development sections in the Harbert College of Business. Every week, I collaborate with peer instructors to grade assignments, plan lectures, and ensure career competencies are being met for 120 undergraduate business students. While working closely with peer instructors, I have learned the importance of delegating tasks and assessing student outcomes.

ABOUT KACIE BAXLEY
I am currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Auburn University, and am expected to graduate in May of 2024. While pursuing my MSW, I am a Graduate Assistant (GA) Career Coach and a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) in the Office of Professional and Career Development within the Harbert College of Business. As a GA Career Coach, I meet with students one-on-one to provide career guidance and resources. As a GTA, I teach a career development course for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. In May of 2022, I graduated from Auburn University with honors. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Public and Professional Writing and two minors in Spanish and Social Work. While at completing my undergraduate degree at Auburn, I was involved in many clubs and organizations. A highlight from that time was serving as President of The Gamma Beta Phi Society - Auburn Chapter. As president, I delegated tasks to executive committee members, planned meetings and events, as well as ensured all members completed the requirements to remain in good standing. While completing the class requirements for my Social Work minor, I became enamored with the profession. I am passionate about strengths-based counseling, eliminating barriers, as well as serving different populations in my community. After obtaining my MSW, I plan to work in the medical field as a social worker. In my free time I enjoy kayaking, hanging out with friends, traveling, and watching Auburn sports.
