ABOUT KABO MASISI

In recent years, obesity and diabetes, cancers, colitis, inflammatory bowel diseases, cardiovascular diseases etc. are increasing with westernization of meal, and it has become a big social problem. My interest includes investigation of the roles of nutrients and dietary agents in lipoprotein metabolism and the pathogenesis and/or prevention of cardiovascular risk factors using well established animal models and human cell lines. Furthermore investigate the interactions between the genome and nutrients in causing a health outcome. My future research goal is to provide scientific evidence for development of new functional foods and nutraceuticals for prevention of cardiovascular risks factors.
