About Kabir Sen

I am a hip hop artist and music teacher at Shady Hill School in Cambridge, MA. I am about to begin my 27th year teaching there (19th year as a full time faculty member in the music department). I teach private music lessons, write songs and produce a variety of different styles of music in many forms. I also perform as a visiting artist at schools and colleges, and put on workshops about hip hop music and culture. I have two regular monthly residencies in the Boston area: I perform on the first Saturday of every month at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge and I also have a 3rd Saturday monthly at the Plough & Stars in Cambridge (a show called “KaBeatles” where I play a mix of Beatles music and my original tunes).
