Develop key documents such as the Poka Yoke List, PFMEA, CT Study, work instructions, and process control plans to support program management, manufacturing, quality teams, and equipment suppliers- Provide design requirements for equipment to suppliers, review, and approve both equipment design and associated processes- Create process layouts, develop procedures, design and test new machinery, and refine production lines, tools, and machinery to reduce waste and improve product quality- Conduct thorough evaluations of part designs, injection molding, painting, and assembly processes, investigating the root causes of defects or mismatches in design, molding, or paint. Identify and implement optimal solutions and improvement opportunities- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (AQE, PDE, TE, and PM) in the pre-production phase to address issues and successfully launch programs prior to mass production. Work together to resolve design, injection molding, paint, and assembly issues by identifying, testing, and implementing effective solutions- Perform root cause analysis and apply corrective actions to address manufacturing challenges using Lean Manufacturing tools- Ensure equipment maintenance by providing guidance and training on vision systems, robot programming, and the design and modification of tools and fixtures- Launch and oversee the development of new programs from initial design through to mass production.
