About Kaan Demirtas

I am an honors student at the Kelley School of Business pursuing majors in finance and business analytics. I am a determined worker and enjoy learning or adapting to new things. One major way I learned the value of hard work and adaptability was through sports. Raised in Atlanta, GA I played sports since I was 7 with rowing becoming my main focus. Through these experiences, I competed at the national level and gained important skills such as discipline, time management, social inclusion, and how to learn from failure. I am currently involved in various financial clubs that have taught me many skills I apply in classes and have demonstrated through case competitions and work experiences. Through these clubs, classes, and work experiences I have gained skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Additionally, I have gained experience in using these tools to accurately create and analyze financial models and statements Outside of school I currently enjoy being involved on campus and bettering my community in doing so. I am enjoying my tenure as the Walnut Grove Residence Hall President as I strive to make the resident\'s time away from home here as enjoyable as possible.
