About Kate Gallagher

I didn\'t grow up with tech, didn\'t build computers in my bedroom or code into the wee hours in my parents\' garage. I don\'t love tech for the sake of tech. What I do love is leveraging technology to have a very real impact on the real world. I\'ve built a variety of solutions to help small business owners increase their local traction, building stronger neighborhoods. I\'ve helped set up a standardized protocol for interoperability between contact tracing apps, bringing communities back together. I volunteer to support initiatives ranging from restoring our wild spaces (admittedly, this one is pretty low-tech) to supporting adult literacy. I\'m a user-focused product professional with a solid background in design and research. But, like many product folks, I expand to fill my role. So I\'m also an operational efficiency nerd, a social coordinator, and an advocate for coworkers\' professional development.
