ABOUT KIRST KAHLER

The standard summary of my history is that I started in QA and Design before moving into production, but those early experiences gave me skills that I still use today. I am constantly learning, adapting, and growing; and that is what gives me flexibility inside all manner of projects, from consoles to mobile, from outsource coordination to internal strike team management. One of my passions is sharing and passing this experience to other producers, via mentorship programs or career management. Currently, I am production director for a small studio, which means I am balancing the day-to-day of an individual project, managing the success of multiple projects across the studio, and ensuring those who report to me are given every opportunity to succeed and grow in their respective roles, as well as building the department\'s baseline processes, expectations, and structuring it for future growth. My top skills are driving solutions, time management, and talking to people. I love working with my teams to identify problems and come up with creative ways to mitigate them. People find me to be trustworthy, honest, and level-headed as a team member, even in a crisis. I am a juggler of tasks, lover of cats, player of games, and a producer of joy. Come work with me!
