About K V Vijay Girish
I am interested in designing innovative mathematical and machine learning models to analyze, process and extract information from signals and data captured from various domains. I enjoy mathematical modelling and out of the box thinking to solve practical problems. I am mostly interested in applications of machine learning and signal processing to audio and speech data.During my PhD, I have devised algorithms which combine sparse representation, signal processing and machine learning methods for supervised/unsupervised classification, separation and segmentation of speech/noise components in a mixed audio signal. I have extensively worked on noise and speech analysis for various machine listening applications. Broad areas of interest : Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Sparse Signal Processing, Audio Source Classification and Separation, Machine Listening, Speech Analysis, Image and Video Processing, Data Analytics and Optimization, Text Mining and AnalysisReviewer of ISCA and conferencesOn personal front, I am a fitness and health enthusiast. I have done an Olympic and Half Ironman Triathlon in 2017, and strive to do an full Ironman in future. I love traveling and exploring places.
