ABOUT KONSTANTINOS THEODORAKIS
A result-driven individual currently enrolled in the MSc Investment and Wealth Management at Imperial College Business School. Before pivoting to Finance I completed my Integrated Master’s in Marine Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. During my studies at NTUA I acquired a solid quantitative and computational background, delving into probability theory, advanced calculus and coding. My Thesis specialized in Computational Fluid Dynamics and resulted in a publication in a renowned scientific Journal. Through my elective modules I have focused on International Finance (CIP, Balance of Payments), while implementing and backtesting investment strategies in currencies (Value and Carry) using Python. During this semester, I am focusing on Structured Equity and Credit Products (CDS, CDO), exploring the intricacies of how these instruments are structured and priced, as well as their integration into credit or debt portfolios. Additionally, I am attending Entrepreneurial Finance, delving into VC finance by conducting valuations of start-ups with very few historical data and dissecting the term sheets offered by VCs to uncover potential caveats. In my role as a senior Quantitative Analyst of the Student Investment Fund at Imperial I lead the Risk, Research and Technology Team. The RRT Team is tasked with constructing a quantitative risk management model to oversee the risk of the systematic strategies of the Fund. Towards this goal we are developing and implementing an ARMA-GARCH volatility forecasting model for use in a volatility targeting method. As a hard-working and motivated individual committed to delivering the best results, I am open to internship or full-time positions upon finishing my degree in late June 2024. With a proven track record of academic excellence and a passion for continuous learning, I am eager to leverage my diverse skill set and contribute effectively to any organization within the finance industry.
