ABOUT K BELL

I am an experienced care professional with twenty five years experience working in the care industry in a number of different settings ranging from supporting adults with disabilities, working to engage drug misusing offenders through Criminal Justice Services and have now accumulated over twenty years experience in the ‘Looked After Child’ field.I commenced my career in childcare working as a support worker in residential care, being promoted to a Senior/ Deputy level for 4 ½ years and then becoming registered manager of a 3 to 4 bed children’s home in the city centre of Bristol from 2008 to 2011. At this point in my career, I went on to manage two multi bed homes, both based in Bristol. One of these homes was consistently rated by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’. I then joined another residential care company based in Newport South Wales as a registered manager with additional training and assessing responsibilities, supporting staff members to gain level 3 and level 5 qualifications. I have now managed a range of different residential child care services for the last fifteen years and have Operations management experience- for the last seven years, I worked for Keys Group in the capacity of Service manager, registering and then managing one of their five crisis intervention centres. For eighteen months of my career with Keys I have also been in an Area Support Managers role in the South West of England- Directly supporting the Areas Residential Director. I have also worked extensively delivering training as part of my role and recently had a successful interview for Regulation 44 Inspector role with NYAS,
