Responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the BCI India Country Plan that will lead to a strong recognition of Better Cotton amongst national stakeholders and a significant scale up in the volume of Better Cotton being produced and pulled through the supply chain. To lead, supervise and manage BCI Membership & Supply Chain for India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh. Enable delivery of BCI’s global strategy and goals as part of Better Cotton Executive Group.1. Lead development and implementation of the strategic Country Plan2. Oversee and strengthen the network of Implementing Partners, including grants, within India to ensure partners meet their obligations and are recognised for their success. Oversee and manage delivery of core programme activities by guiding India country staff, to ensure all parties have the capacity and capabilities to deliver on programme objectives. Build a strong organisational structure for BCI in country.5. Ensure the efficacy and integrity of BCI and Better Cotton in India through sound recruitment, induction, management and team coaching. Oversee the selection, training, and monitoring of Better Cotton gins, the use of the Better Cotton Traceability System by suppliers and manufacturers, and engagement with leading retailers and brands in country. Identification and tie up with key stakeholders with BCI to retain and increase membership, knowledge partnership and collaboration on strategic goals. To represent BCI in high level national forums and lead on national policy engagement.
