I successfully completed the NHS Healthcare Careers Virtual Work Experience programme, a live, interactive initiative led by healthcare professionals across the UK. This immersive experience involved following multiple patients from initial presentation through to recovery, providing a comprehensive view of various healthcare roles within the NHS. Participants observed professionals in action across diverse settings, from hospital wards to community care, and engaged in real-time discussions to deepen their understanding of multidisciplinary teamwork. The programme offered invaluable insights into careers such as nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, radiography, prosthetics and orthotics, speech and language therapy, and pharmacy. This experience has significantly enhanced my knowledge of patient care pathways and the collaborative nature of healthcare delivery within the NHS.
