About Julian Valdiserri

Before I entered construction, I spent four years as a college football coach—developing young athletes, building game plans, and learning what it takes to lead under pressure. From there, I transitioned into sales, where I opened a brand-new territory in Western PA for a fundraising company and raised over for local programs by selling a service that was completely new to the region.While I found success in coaching and sales, I made a conscious decision to switch careers and pursue something long-term and growth-oriented. That brought me to Burns & Scalo, where I chose to start on a roofing crew to learn the trade from the ground up. I believed that earning respect, understanding the work firsthand, and gaining technical knowledge would make me a stronger leader down the line—and that mindset has paid off.Since then, I’ve worked my way up from the field to Project Engineer, Estimator, Sheet Metal Supervisor, and now Project Manager—handling both roofing and wall panel scopes on large commercial projects like Amazon and Dollar Tree distribution centers. I’ve had the chance to wear many hats, lead crews, coordinate subs, review scopes, negotiate contracts, and drive jobs to completion.Looking forward, I’m focused on continued growth in leadership—building efficient teams, developing future leaders, and bringing clarity and accountability to complex projects.
