What would it look like if design firms were less worried about pedigrees and pretty design, and more worried about designing experiences that actually accomplished something? What if a combination of better questions and different thinking could deliver real business results? What if great-looking design was just the beginning?How would it look if we could measure whether your design initiative actually accomplished its goals? Did it increase fan engagement? Did it land more recruits? Did it sell more tickets? Did it increase sponsorship activation and commitment? If this is what’s important, why isn’t anyone measuring this? Well wait.we are.Mediocre experiences are everywhere we look: in projects that went over budget, with deadlines that were missed, and of course in goals that were not accomplished. We’re not in the business of buyer’s remorse because we believe that great experiences matter.For the last 10 years, my focus has been building DI’s Sports Practice and improving the overall user experience in the built environment. Recent notable projects include Sponsorship and Fan Engagement at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, The Vikings Voyage at U.S. Bank Stadium, The Target Center renovation in Minneapolis, and the new home of Orlando City SC. Recent collegiate work includes cutting-edge interactive recruiting experiences for Kansas State University, UConn and Wake Forest University.I am an active member of the ALSD Design Build Advisory Board, NACDA and NACWAA communities and anything else that connects me to the business of sport. When I\'m not actively working with clients, you\'ll find me with my family or working on my house.
