Sprout Up is a program of Environmental Volunteers, a nonprofit organization based in Palo Alto, California. Sprout Up has chapters in college campuses across California and New York City, and we provide free environmental science and sustainability education to 1st and 2nd graders. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of environmental caretakers-Create partnerships with low-income elementary schools and establish 1,200+ student experiences with hands-on lessons that adhere to NYS Common Core Standards -Serve as head instructor in 1st and 2nd grade classrooms -Assist with club operations, communications, and recruitment -Presented at the 2024 NYU Sustainable Engineering Initiative Symposium-Featured story on the Meet NYU prospective student/admissions website-Collaborated with other chapter leaders at the Summer 2024 Leadership Retreat in Los Altos, California
