About Jason Witzke
In the span of 16 years with Lutjen, I established a GIS department from the ground up, collaborating closely with civil engineers, landscape architects, and surveyors to enhance our project capabilities.The summer of 2016 marked a new chapter as Olsson acquired Lutjen. I embraced the role of a GIS regional resource before advancing into the IT Applied Technology department. My role expanded to become a company-wide resource for GIS support, guiding our team through significant growth. Our commitment to nurturing talent is evident as we consistently mentor at least two interns, with an impressive 75% of them securing full-time roles at Olsson.As a leader, my responsibilities are diverse, including managing our GIS team, overseeing software and technical support, and driving initiatives within the Applied Technology department.Olsson’s growth trajectory has been remarkable, expanding from approximately 50 users in 2016 to over 460 today, all adept in utilizing ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise. Ensuring the acquisition, distribution, and management of our software, along with the updates for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Enterprise, falls under my purview.
