About Jako van Blerk
The Information Technology field has become an interest of mine through its use in business applications and processes. It has been my career path for more than twenty years. I\'ve been in Project Management, Management & Leadership positions, including Executive Management since 2008.My current role as Chief Information Officer suites my natural ability to lead, and provide me with multiple opportunities to lead Strategic decision making, vision, labor negotiations, and other Executive level functions. Although my Technical expertise has been mostly in network design & engineering, I\'ve spend 18 months as Manager of Applications & Enterprise Solutions and 15 months as Deputy Director to the Chief Information Officer, which gives me a well balanced perspective for my current role.The dynamic nature of the Information Technology world create new challenges every day; I think that the ever changing environment is one of the main reasons I thoroughly enjoy what I am doing. I am a loyal, dedicated individual that excels under pressure and difficult situations.I am always interested in other people’s perspectives. I enjoy my job tremendously.
