I grew up in a carnivorous family, trailing my dad through livestock auctions by age 3 and working summers in our family meatpacking plant by age 11. Meat has always been in my blood — and today, I’m proud to help lead Marx Companies, a fifth-generation family business that sources and supplies exceptional meats, seafood, and specialty ingredients to chefs, home cooks, and distributors across the U.S.As Executive Vice President, I oversee our three divisions: Marx Imports – sourcing specialty meat programs from producers in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the U.S, and supplying them to food distributors nationwide Marx Foodservice – partnering with chefs and restaurants in major metros to deliver premium meats and seafood not commonly found through broadline distribution Marx Foods – our direct-to-consumer platform helping home cooks access the same rare and restaurant-grade ingredients we supply to professionalsAcross all divisions, our mission is the same: connect the best producers in the world with customers who care deeply about quality.I’ve spent the past 20+ years building supply chains, working with small-scale farmers and global processors, and traveling to find the most delicious, sustainable proteins on the planet. Whether it’s Iberico pork from Spain, grass-fed beef from New Zealand, or Moulard duck from the Hudson Valley, we build long-term programs that work for both producers and our customers.When I’m not working, I’m usually paddleboarding near our home on Bainbridge Island or eating my way through the next great meal cooked by my wife Orsi (who once sold me pork — now she sells me on dinner).
