About Justin Hurley
Hi, I’m Justin a Software Engineer. I chose this field because I wanted a job that encourages me to solve puzzles efficiently and elegantly, and pushes me to continue to learn and innovate. I find my best work comes from a perfect balance of pressure and room to explore. If you know of a role that checks these boxes, don’t hesitate to reach out.As a Software Engineer at Amazon, I designed, implemented, tested, and maintained services that support the talent management and development of Amazon employees. I worked with AWS, Java, SQL, and other technologies to create scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that enhance the employee experience and enable business growth. I collaborated with cross-functional teams, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver value to our customers and align with Amazon\'s vision and principles.I graduated with a BS in Computer Science from Washington University McKelvey School of Engineering in May 2021, where I gained a solid foundation in programming languages, algorithms, data structures, parallel and concurrent programming, and software engineering. I also had the opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge as a teaching assistant for three different courses, where I helped students learn and master the concepts and techniques of computer science. Additionally, I interned as a SDE at Morgan Stanley, where I developed a document categorization application that solved a problem of misclassified bond documents and improved the accuracy and efficiency of the machine learning models that extract information for traders.I am passionate about learning new technologies, tools, and frameworks, and I am always eager to improve my skills and expand my knowledge. I am also motivated by the impact and value that my work can create for the customers, the company, and the society. I am looking for opportunities to work on exciting and meaningful projects, where I can leverage my skills and expertise, and contribute to the success and innovation of the team and the organization.
