Founding this organization came on the heels of Hurricane Maria devastating the island of Puerto Rico and in response to the resettlement of Puerto Ricans in the Mahoning Valley. My responsibilities included leading the initial grant application for start-up funding, assisting with data and resource collection, leading the web development and branding of the organization, and leading the application for 501(C)3 status. Continuing responsibilities include managing the organization\'s finances, maintaining the website, and assisting with building organizational capacity.
