The Alma Mater Society (AMS), is UBC’s official student union and is the largest student union in Canada. It represents over undergraduate and graduate students and advocates students\' interests and provides opportunities for their growth and advancement. It staffs over 300 employees, offers 6 services for students, has 6 food and beverage outlets, and runs Nest Catering. It also manages the AMS Student Nest, which is a sq. ft LEED Platinum Certified building with food and beverage options, study spaces, lounge spaces, clubs and event spaces.
