ABOUT JUSTINE SARKODIE
I am a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and Posse STEM Scholar at Brandeis University, in which I study “Health: Science, Society, and Policy” and \"Biology\". I hope to work in the medical field and have made several efforts to fuel that interest. I took a rigorous three-year Certified Clinical Medical Assisting Program and interned at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in which I led a COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy initiative. I have also been a part of Mount Sinai’s MedDOCS Program and have taken a Molecular Genetics course at the American Museum of Natural History. These experiences have led me to value relationships with others as I have learned to work in groups and collaborate ideas. Further highlights of my skills include: • Administering vaccines • Collecting vital signs and important patient medical history/inquires for primary care providers • Creating and administering surveys regarding vaccinations and viruses • Analyzing data with the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Applications • Proficiency in HIPAA and OSHA I hope to obtain further opportunities in the medical field where I can apply these experiences, interests, and skills.
