About Justine Pan

I\'m a square who survived (read: thrived) 6 years in public accounting working in high net-worth, real estate, and international taxation; who later pivoted to accounting in the insurance industry (didn\'t care for it); and then somehow stuck my landing in the entertainment industry. Since then, I\'ve focused my career on Production Cost & Compliance Auditing and Development Finance. I also watch way more TV than I used to.In my current role, I have managed external audits of TV productions with budgets totaling over $1.5B. I have increased cash collections by $50M and saved another $13M by reducing the amount owed within contractual parameters. But at the end of the day, I really like collaborating with my peers and counterparts at other media companies. Working with them, learning from them, all while generating significant savings for my company is what gets me up in the morning before coffee.I think a large part of what makes me effective is a relentless and resourceful spirit - I get to the bottom of things and follow-up with business partners regularly to deliver results. I dig into the details so that I can understand and present the big picture takeaways accurately.When I\'m not writing \"About Me\" sections, I enjoy drinking coffee, spending time with my son, and trying new recipes and then subsequently forgetting about them for months.

   Negotiate external audits and present findings of in-house TV productions on behalf of Paramount/CBS/Kapital studios to key decision makers. During my time, I have managed audits of productions costs with budgets totaling over $1.6B and increased cash collections by over $50M- Audit third-party TV productions in which Paramount/CBS/Kapital are the passive studios or network. During my tenure, I have audited productions with cost commitments of $428M from Paramount/CBS and approved $415M, thereby saving the company $13M- Successfully quarterbacked Internal Audit\'s examinations of \"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds\" Season 3 and \"Elsbeth\" Season 1, achieving clean audits in the areas of risk mitigation and strong internal control environment.
