ABOUT JUSTINE KHALIL
I am a Rutgers PharmD candidate with goals to work closely with professionals in the industry sector of pharma to advance novel medicine. Previously, when I was a Pharmacy technician at CVS, I was inspired by the lead pharmacist\'s knowledge in clinical patient care and she encouraged me to further explore opportunities in pharma.While at my internship at Merck, I saw what it fully takes to get a drug to the market from start to finish, which I am passionate about being a part of in the future, ultimately, to get life-altering medications to people in need.Last fall, I participated in a research project to evaluate nutraceutical memory claims, which was presented at the ASHP Midyear Conference in Las Vegas. At that time, I also completed an internship at ACMA, where I began a database project for the top 200 drugs on the market. These endeavors refined my literature search skills and piqued my interest in collecting medical information and making it digestible for the audience at hand.Currently, I am looking for a co-op in pharma to apply my clinical knowledge and expand my exposure to different functional areas, while staying close to the science.
