I\'ve managed thousands of servers at Microsoft for over 15 years. I have a lot of experience both outside the labs and factories with Service Engineering, and inside the labs and factories with System Engineering.My skillset that has grown the most over the last couple years has been Hyper-V, HPC, SQL, and most of all, Storage. I have architected many cluster designs of different types, to fulfill a specific role or for low cost mass deployment. My setups are cost efficient and well thought out, as I always try to think of the risks and needs several steps out. I am most passionate about using the new MS technologies together, particularly Storage Spaces with ReFS or NTFS (with dedupe) deployments, along with RDMA SMB, MPIO, both SoFS and classic storage clustering. I have been heavily deploying all of these new technologies since alpha/beta in Server 2012.
