ABOUT JUSTIN D BARTEE

Quick to try, slow to commit, I\'ve explored every avenue in front of me en route to discovering my passion for coding. From sales and customer service opportunities where I learned to listen and interpret needs, and to communicate in a concise and accessible way, and be empathetic and offer tailormade solutions, to account management where I honed my analytical skills interpreting large bodies of information and collaborating on difficult, yet important account decisions, all the way through many other unique endeavors to my years in food service management. There, in my most rewarding foray yet I grew immensely as a leader, and as a person. I learned to have difficult conversations, and how to meet people where they are. I learned the value of goal setting, and how to offer productive feedback. I learned what great dividends the right investments in your team members as individuals, as well as your team as a whole can pay on a personal and professional level. I\'m confident that the unique combination of skills and experiences I offer bring value into each workplace I inhabit and each new relationship I forge. Soon after exploring my talents and interests further, a fascination with software was born and I began to teach myself programming concepts online. Once I discovered Tech Elevator I jumped at the chance to join their next cohort. I eventually graduated from the C#/.NET full-stack development track there and am continuously excited and surprised by my progress as a developer. I’m proud to have found a new role that allows me to make the most of my background and take the next step of many along this new path with an organization that appreciates the technical as well as the personal side of the industry.
