Created a Python image cleaning software to crop, re-orient and organize scanned archival material in preparation for it to become easily tagged with metadata, searchable and usable by researchers. Created proactive and engaging promotional videos for the library using Adobe Premiere Pro to inspire book donations to support the library collection, while collaborating with Thomas College’s Marketing Department to orient messaging and explore opportunities in publishing and marketing. Applied advanced video editing techniques to ensure videos are visually compelling, professional, and accessible to a wide audience.Became proficient enough with all aspects of Thomas College Service Desk Technician procedure to be able to evaluate the Standard Operating Procedure Manual documentation for a) accuracy and b) understandability to student workers. Completed an evaluation project, starting with the S.O.P. Manual and continuing with other internal and external documentation as time permits, suggesting improvements as necessary.Became familiar with all library circulation functions used through Sierra and compare against the documentation in Innovative Interface’s libguides documentation, identifying processes that might be made more efficient and creating support documents detailing improved processes.Research and evaluate up-to-date software tools that have the ability to improve accessibility and ADA compliance for documents used in the library and elsewhere on campus. Prepare a presentation on the advantages and disadvantages of various tools and, after conferring with library staff, begin to implement and document a procedure for converting documents to a more accessible version.
