About Justin Wright

Mr. Wright is a member of the 2015 Doctoral cohort for Social Work at Howard University. Aside from his scholastic commitments, Mr. Wright also served as a Graduate Assistant for The Howard University School of Social Work concurrent to his obligations as a Voting member for the Doctoral Committee within the department. Mr. Wright\'s research interests consist of- Neuroscience/Neuropsychology and Mental Health - Cognition - The Black Perspective and Mental Health - Social Justice Additionally, Mr. Wright has also served as a Human Resource Specialist (Recruitment and Selection) and Pharmacy Operations Manager (Walgreens) in previous years. Mr. Wright is also the recipient of a Masters degree in Social Work from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University which was garnered after the completion of his studies in both Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. While in attendance at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Mr. Wright was awarded the graduate commendation of Cum Laude for his commitment to academic and scholastic achievement during his tenure. Mr. Wright intends to utilize the knowledge, skills, and abilities, acquired through his professional endeavors and education, to examine and combat the barriers surrounding equitable social welfare policy in the United States. Mr. Wright seeks to work in the public sector upon completion of his doctoral degree, in the role of social advocate and policy analyst in hopes of strengthening the country\'s resolve towards a greater comprehension of mental health and social justice for those in the US and abroad.
